"Who's number is this"
From the phone number 1 greater than my cell. Since it's late and I'm bored I thought I'd let you all decide if and how I should answer. I will note that I rarely use the phone for texts or calls. Most calls I get to it are redirects from my landline. I even had to look up my cell phone number since I don't give it out except in my work email signature. So would you respond and if yes what would you say? |
| I wouldn't respond. Certainly not honestly. |
| I would definitely ignore it. |
| Lol. It's the guy on relationships trying to see if you are cheating with his wife. Respond "me babe. You looked so good last night" |

| Respond with - Thank you for registering for Cat Fancy's Cat Facts. Did you know that calico cats have fur that is three colors? |
|
I would respond with "Who's asking?"
|
| i would ignore it. or else say "mine" |
OP here. Love this. |
Funny but just delete the text, OP. If the number is one off from yours it might be work related. Or not. Both my husband and I got calls on our cells on the same day from different numbers with a person asking who's number it was insisting that we called them. I think it's some sort of phising. Of course we told them that they called up and if they didn't know who they were calling then they were out of luck. |
| I cannot believe an adult would ask this, delete it moron. |
That was my first thought too! |
An adult is less likely to use "who's" when s/he means "whose." |
Building on this, you could respond saying, "this is your fourth grade teacher. It's WHOSE phone is this, not WHO'S phone is this." |
| I got this text too, on Thanksgiving. I ignored it, but I am loving the replies. |
