Can you share what kind of info you learned from the eval and what was on the report? I learned that it’s a total of about 5-6 hours over two days which seems short to me to get all the info they need. Did you feel like it was an accurate assessment of your child? |
Our child was almost 5 when she did this. It was only 3 hours of testing. Evaluator also did a parent interview, 1 hour school observation, and had us and teacher submit questionnaires.
Report was a very accurate assessment of our child. We got diagnoses, results of cognitive tests and school readiness assessment and recommended school and home accomodations and services. |
We found it gave all the data about where to focus and prioritize. Incredibly helpful to the teacher and school. |
We had the same experience as this poster minus the school observation. The recommended accommodations continue to be in place and work well. We are about to do another as it was recommended to us by the developmental pediatrician to repeat it every 2 years. |
My 5 year old will be about 3 hours with zoom parent interview & teachers filled out forms. I think they bill by hours, so it is supposed to be less billing amounts to insurance. |
